Likitha is a self-taught emerging artist exploring abstract expression based in Mangalore, India, whose work is deeply rooted in process, emotion and transformation. Drawn to art from an early age, creativity has become an essential part of her identity.

Her work is inspired by the natural movement of paint, where colours gently soften, dissolve and merge when a stained brush meets water. This quiet moment, where hues find their own harmony forms the foundation of her artistic language. Likitha seeks to represent not just the final image, but the process of art itself, allowing chance, flow, and movement to guide her compositions.

Primarily working with acrylic inks, she creates layered compositions that feel fluid and alive, as though the paint continues to move beneath the surface. Likitha views her paintings as metaphors for life, where layers represent evolving versions of the self shaped through mistakes, learning, and growth. While individual layers may appear raw or unresolved, their intersections create meaning, depth, and balance. Transparency in her work reflects openness, while intersections symbolize relationships, choices, challenges, acceptance, and inner strength. Alongside this, she also works with soft pastels to explore and refine her distinctive approach to blending.

Likitha describes her abstract practice as an act of Easing it Out, allowing emotions to flow freely, embracing imperfection, and continuing forward despite obstacles. Her works carry a sense of quiet motion, reminding viewers that while life has its ups and downs, the Path itself is beautiful.

Each painting holds its own story, emotion, and energy. Rather than offering fixed interpretations, Likitha prefers to let her art speak for itself, inviting viewers to connect through their own experiences. For her, art is felt more than explained.
